U.S.A. stock market: We’ve based our 6 “sell” recommendations on far more than share prices

In all of our newsletters, including Wall Street Stock Forecaster, we’re always on the lookout for new stocks that we feel offer investors strong growth prospects with less risk. At the same time, we constantly monitor our recommendations for reasons that might cause us to change our opinion.

If you’re a long-time subscriber to one or more of our newsletters, you know that we downplay market-timing and stock-price predictions in the advice we give you. Instead, we focus on investment quality. This includes the U.S.A. stock market picks we recommend in Wall Street Stock Forecaster.

In the latest issue of Wall Street Stock Forecaster, we identify 6 stocks we now see as sells. Based on our thorough analysis of these companies’ investment quality, we now feel that their risk level has gone up, and that these stocks no longer offer an acceptable balance of risk to potential reward.

Please note that this doesn’t reflect a change in our views about the outlook for the U.S market. That outlook remains positive.

The U.S. economy continues to recover from the recession. As well, technological advances are continuing to gain speed. That spurs growth in productivity and the launch of new businesses. Moreover, unemployment is coming down, in the usual two-steps-forward, one-step-back fashion.

Above all, the great house-price collapse in the U.S. is largely behind us. If house prices merely level out, the U.S. economy will gain.

I do not appreciate the cnstent bombartment of additional Membership of other Papers, when I am already a Member of the Successful Investor. I can not even print out the TSI weekly topics, which I would like to keep as a record, without having to print all the adds that come with it. At my Membership renewal I am seriously considuring not to renew. If you mean to be a Successful Investor, you should handle it that way and not discriminate between Canada and U.S.investing and all other Publishing.
    Yours truly, Peter Dirks

I have to agree with Peter Dirks. Too much extraneous stuff. I want good investment advice, not a constant sales pitch. Thanks,
    Ken H.

  • Hi Peter and Ken,

Our website, TSINetwork.ca, has both free content and content for paying subscribers. The daily emails and week-in-review emails are free content, so we of course promote our paid publications where people can find more information and a greater amount of detail. As for avoiding our ads, simply confine your browsing of TSINetwork.ca to the newsletters you’ve paid for and you’ll rarely see an ad.

We have four different newsletters, each focused on a different investment profile. The Successful Investor newsletter specifically recommends high-quality, mostly Canadian stocks with strong profit and growth potential. Wall Street Stock Forecaster, another newsletter publication of ours, focuses on high-quality U.S. stocks.

If you have a wide-ranging portfolio that goes beyond the focus of a single newsletter, you may want to join our Inner Circle and receive all our services. Note that Inner Circle membership is only open on a “space-available” basis.
