The company recently paid an undisclosed amount for BEC. Based in Colorado, that firm makes self-serve kiosks and touch-screen terminals for over 2,600 restaurants. Those products help speed up orders and electronic payments. BEC already uses NCR’s products and software; that familiarity helps cut the risk of this acquisition.
