The company has developed a unique process for extracting avenanthramides and beta glucan from oats. These organic substances help treat several skin conditions, including eczema, chicken pox marks and insect bites. Ceapro is now investigating avenanthramides’ effectiveness as a treatment for inflammatory bowel syndrome, atherosclerosis, colon cancer and joint inflammation. The company’s revenue fell 10.7%, from $5.8 million in 2011 to $5.2 million in 2012. That’s mainly because it shifted the delivery of some client orders to 2013. As a result, revenue improved to $6.5 million in 2013, and jumped to $10.7 million in 2015.
