A: Energy Fuels Inc., $2.68, symbol EFR on Toronto (Shares outstanding: 66.6 million; Market cap: $178.5 million; www.energyfuels.com), owns two uranium-processing facilities that supply that U3O8 to major nuclear utilities. They are the White Mesa Mill in Utah and the Nichols Ranch Processing Facility in Wyoming. The company also owns the idled Alta Mesa project in Texas.
The White Mesa Mill is a conventional uranium mill and has a licensed capacity of over 8 million pounds of U3O8 per year. The Nichols Ranch Processing Facility, acquired with the company’s purchase of Uranerz Energy Corporation, has a licensed capacity of 2 million pounds of U3O8 per year.
Energy Fuels also has uranium mining projects located in a number of western U.S. states. They include producing mines, mines on standby, and mineral properties in various stages of permitting and development.
