A: Flowserve Corp., $42.11, symbol FLS on New York (Shares outstanding: 131.7 million; Market cap: $5.3 billion; www.flowserve.com), manufactures industrial pumps, valves, and other machinery for several industries that use difficult-to-handle or corrosive fluids. These include power utilities, and oil and gas, chemical and related firms. The company operates facilities in more than 300 locations worldwide, selling its products in about 50 countries. On January 14, 2025, Flowserve announced it would supply dry gas seals and systems to the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for its carbon capture project at its Habshan gas plant in the United Arab Emirates. The project involves capturing and storing 1.5 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) annually. That is equal to the emissions from 325,000 vehicles. Meantime, Flowserve continues to expand its business through both internal growth and acquisitions.
