The company is headquartered in Blainville, Quebec, and operates two manufacturing facilities—one in that same community and the other in Shanghai, China. Industrial gases can be purified using what is known as adsorption technology. Xebec’s systems are focused on using this technology to produce renewable natural gas (RNG) and hydrogen from biogas. Biogas refers to a mixture of different gases produced by the breakdown of organic matter in the absence of oxygen.
