It also has a banking division.
State Street plans to raise its quarterly dividend by 11.8% in the third quarter of 2016, to $0.38 a share from $0.34. The new annual rate of $1.52 yields 2.6%. The company also plans to repurchase $1.4 billion worth of its shares by June 30, 2017.
The company’s fee income rises and falls with the value of the mutual funds and other securities it manages. It will likely earn $4.75 a share in 2016, and the stock trades at 12.2 times that forecast.
